Materials used in the Crochet Lamb Pattern
- YarnArt Jeans. This is a Sport / Fine weight yarn, 55% cotton and 45% acrylic, 160 meters (175 yds) per 50 grams. Colors used: 87 (sand), 71 (milk coffee). Himalaya Velvet. This is a Super Bulky / Super Chunky weight yarn, 100 % polyester, 120 meters (131 yds) per 100 grams. Color used: 9001 (white). If you’re looking for substitutes, consider using a yarn substitution tool – it can help you find yarns with similar qualities;
- Crochet hook size 2.00 mm;
- Black safety eyes (dia.8 mm);
- Embroidery floss (black and pink) for facial features;
- Stuffing material (fiberfill);
- Stitch marker or contrasting color yarn;
- Long needle for shaping, and yarn needle;
- Scissors.

Gauge and Measurements
The finished lamb is approximately 8” (20 cm) tall. Gauge is not essential for the Crochet Lamb Pattern; the size of the toy can be easily adjusted by using a larger or smaller hook.

Squeeze the hole of the piece so that the stitches of the last round align with each other, and crochet the opposite stitches with 6 sc to close the hole (photo 1). Then crochet the opposite stitches with 3 sc (photo 2). Cut an 8-inch (20 cm) yarn tail for sewing (photo 3).
Tail

Round 3. Sc in each stitch around (12), sl st, cut an 8-inch (20 cm) yarn tail for sewing.
Assembly and shaping
Sew arms and tail to the body, ears and hat to the head.
Take a long needle, thread it with sand yarn, and shape the eyes. Insert the needle at point 1 and pull it out at point 2 (under the eye). Then, insert the needle at point 3 (under the other eye) and pull it out at point 1. Pull the yarn ends tight to create the shaping, tie a knot, and hide the ends inside the head.
Embroidering
Embroider the eyelash line with black embroidery floss. Using pink embroidery floss, stitch the nose in the center, one row below eye level, in the shape of a triangle. Then, make a black stitch line from the nose to the mouth.
