Would you like to crochet this cute little egg bunny for Easter?
This is a fun project that you can whip up in an hour or two, so if you are looking for something quick, this pattern will be excellent for you.
Here is what you will need:
- Yarn in white, green, and yellow colors calling for a 3,5 mm hook
- Size 2.5 mm crochet hook
- Poly-Fil Fiberfill stuffing
- Small 5 mm Buttons for Bunny Eyes (or embroider instead)
- Embroidery floss (bunny nose, eyelashes, and eyes if not using buttons)
- Ribbon bow (or crochet instead)
- Blush or pink eye shadow and brush (optional)
- Yarn needle, stitch marker, thread (for bow), and scissors

R1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
R2: inc in each st (12)
R3: (sc, inc) * 6 times (18)
R4: sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) * 5 times, sc (24)

R7: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) * 5 times, 2 sc (36)

R24: 2 dec, cut the yarn, leaving a 6″ (15cm) tail, thread it onto a needle, and guide it into each front loop of the round. Fasten off the hole (Photo 4) and hide the end of the yarn inside the egg. Check out the video to see how to gather stitches. The egg is ready (Photo 5)
Return to the remaining front green loops, insert your hook into a loop (it does not matter which loop), yellow yarn over (Photo 6), pull the yarn through this loop, ch1 (Photo 7), then crochet * sc, dc, sc in this loop (Photo 8); sl st into next loop *; repeat the combination from * to * around to the end. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends (Photo 11).
Ear (make 2)
Using white color crochet chain 13
R1: 2 dc into 4th ch from hook, 8 dc up the chain, 8 dc into 1st ch, work along the other side of the foundation ch: 8 dc, 2 dc into the ch, in which we have already crocheted 2 dc at the beginning of the round (30, Photo 12)
Finish with sl st in top of beginning ch4 with yellow color, to do so: insert your hook into the top of beginning ch4, yellow yarn over (Photo 13), pull yarn through this loop and through the loop on your hook. Sl st is ready (Photo 14).
R2: Ch1, 2 sc into the same loop (Photo 15), (2 sc into one st) * 2 times, 9 sc, (2 sc into one st) * 6 times, 9 sc, (2 sc into 1 st) * 2 times, sl st into 1st sc of the round (Photo 16)
Crochet the 2nd ear in the same way (Photo 17)
Fold ears as shown in Photo 18 and sew them together with yellow yarn, then sew to the top of the egg (Photo 19)
Try on button eyes between rows 17 and 18, embroider eyelashes, then sew (or glue) on button eyes, or alternatively, use embroidery floss and a French knot to sew on eyes. Use embroidery floss to do a stitch nose.
If desired, add pink to the inside of bunny ears and cheeks using pink blush (or pink eyeshadow) and a brush.
