Crochet Little Bunny – free amigurumi pattern

Create some cute bunnies with this free crochet bunny pattern! This mini amigurumi toy is adorable and already dressed. It is also quick and easy to crochet so you can make gifts for all of the kids.

I don’t like to sew parts, so to help reduce the amount of sewing, the head, the arms and the body of the bunny are crocheted all in one piece.

You can use different types of yarn but make sure to use a crochet hook that’s one or two sizes smaller, it makes the fabric a little tighter, so it will hold the stuffing without showing holes.

Here is what you will need:

  • DK yarn in white, pink, and beige color.
  • Size 2.5 mm crochet hook.
  • Poly-Fil Fiberfill stuffing.
  • 10 mm black safety eyes.
  • Embroidery floss in white, brown, black, and pink color.
  • Yarn needle, stitch marker, pins and scissors.
  • Optional: decoration button

What did I use?

Schachenmayr Catania, sport weight yarn, 100% Cotton, 1.76 ounces = 137 yards/50 grams = 125 meters.

Colors: 00105 (white), 00257 (beige), 00189 (pink).

Abbreviations

Here are the crochet abbreviations used in this pattern. Note that instructions are written in US terms.

CH – chain

St – stitch

SLST – slip stitch

DC – double crochet

INC – increase (2 SC in one st)

TR – treble crochet

InvDEC – invisible decrease (single crochet two stitches together front loop only)

R16. Closing rnd: crochet the opposite stitches with 5 SC (the 1st sc is hard to crochet, use a smaller hook for convenience), Photo 4, cut the yarn and pull the end of yarn through the last stitch completely. Weave in end.

Crochet the second arm in the same way (Photo 5 and 6).
